Minutes of Steering Committee, November 15, 2006, 7.30 p.m.

In attendance: Bob Morris, Marge Bean, Anna-Marie Ferraro, Bill Murphy, Clare Keane.

The Opening Prayer was offered by Bob.

Financial Report: Anna-Marie reported that our balance is $1782. We have income of $1639 from the sale of notecards. Bob has been partially reimbursed for printing costs. Our big upcoming expense will be incurred by Sr. Nancy Murray’s one-woman presentation on St. Catherine of Siena in June. Her airfare and lodging are at our expense.

Bob reported that Joe Lyons, Mgr. Lyons’ nephew, sent us two poems by his uncle. We discussed whether we could turn these into bookmarks along with a picture of him. The VOTF affiliate in Harvard wants to sell our Christmas cards. We are low on two of the designs. Should we reprint or obtain some new designs? We have been given permission to sell these cards after Masses at St. Eulalia’s on Dec. 2/3. The National Convention in Providence in October will be a good opportunity to sell cards for the benefit of survivors. Marge and Bob are working on a plan for a Rummage Sale next Veterans’ Day weekend to benefit survivors.

There was discussion about a further meeting with Bishop Irwin. Should we meet him on the North Shore and take him out to eat? Anna-Marie will write to him.

Bill will meet with facilitators before initiating any change in the Faith Sharing evenings format.

The next Steering Committee meeting will be on June 14.

For the Closing Prayer, the group prayed the Our Father.
